Mercy Bio-Remediation
An Empathy-Focused Company
At Mercy Bio-Remediation, we understand that trauma scene cleaning is not just about restoring a physical space, but also about helping to restore a sense of safety, comfort, and peace of mind for our clients. We believe in providing a comprehensive approach to our services, taking into account the emotional and psychological aspects of trauma and mental health, and treating our clients with empathy, understanding, and dignity from start to finish.
Garrett Maxey's Story
Garrett Maxey, our founder, a 13-year law enforcement veteran, was the on-scene detective for a suicide on a cold February morning. The deceased, a 16-year-old boy, had passed away in the only bathroom accessible to his father and grandmother. Garrett and his partner spent over an hour and a half trying to contact cleaning services for the family, each call being met with negative results.
Garrett, heartbroken for the family, explained neither the Coroner's Office nor the Sheriff's Office could clean the bathroom before having to leave the home. This incident, along with many other scenes with confused and distraught families, left a lasting impression on Garrett.
Much like law enforcement, biohazard remediation is a calling on the hearts of those who want to serve those in our communities in their most vulnerable moments. Since our meteoric start in 2024, Mercy Bio-Remediation has helped multiple families restore peace from the chaotic minutes, hours, and days after a traumatic event.
At Mercy Bio-Remediation, We Believe Every Life Is Special
Mercy Bio-Remediation was founded by Garrett Maxey and his wife, Riley, in 2024. Their mission from the start was to treat each one of their clients with empathy and professionalism.
We believe that every life is special. Our team comes in with reverent respect for the deceased and for the surroundings where the event took place. We are here to help in any way we can, and we do that by making the room look as if nothing had ever happened.
Our team is made up of active military, police, firefighters, mothers, and fathers. These caring and empathetic people have spent years putting other's lives ahead of theirs. We hold this belief deeply, our team of first responders and parents who have dealt with trauma firsthand adds an additional layer of empathy, attention to detail, and integrity to our services.
